This is a truly a unique opportunity, both in terms offering a world class racehorse poised to make a big splash in the major Free For All stakes of 2010, and because VIP Stable has been offered the exclusive opportunity to market this World Champion. 

DALI is a career winner of almost $1.2 million, and the co-World Record holder of the fastest 3 year old stallion on a 5/8 mile track in 1:48.2 taken winning the Progress Pace at Dover Downs.  As a 2 year old, he won the Niatross stakes, the Woodrow Wilson, The Bluegrass at The Red Mile, and an elimination of the Metro Pace.

Returning as a 3 year old, DALI had the misfortune of being in the same class as one of the greatest 3yo's to ever look through a bridle, SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE, as well as terrific horses ART OFFICIAL, and SHADOW PLAY.  Despite the competition, DALI had a terrific season - winning the Burlington Stakes, and Progress Pace, finishing 2nd in the Hoosier Cup, and 3rd in Tattersalls, Bluegrass (both to SOMEBEACHSOMEWHERE), and earned $599,641.

This season as a 4 year old, DALI returned looking super with wins in two Open events at Mohawk in 1:50 and 1:49.3, before going up against the best horses in training like MISTER BIG, WON THE WEST, and SHARK GESTURE which looked like a little more that DALI was ready for. 

For the last few months, DALI has been racing the top horses in Canada, and he's getting better and better each week!  This week he won the Woodbine Open in 1:49.1 - the fasted mile ever paced in December in Canada!

The Background - The current DALI owners had a stallion deal in place to retire him and send him to stud.  They were all set to sign on the dotted line...until DALI returned to his top form over the last few months. This week's 1:49.1 win made up their mind, and they want to bring DALI back to race next year!!  

Believe me - the current connections LOVE this horse and are insisting that they maintain a large ownership stake - but they want to take a little cash off the table and use it toward their next crop of stakes winners (like JOACHAIM and DELIGHTFUL LIFE).  This is where VIP Stable comes in! 

THE Deal - As I said this is a unique opportunity, and it comes with some unique opportunities and a few unique deal points.

Uncirculated Stable is walking away from a stallion deal valuing Millionaire and World Champion DALI at $400,000.  With a firm offer in hand, they cannot sell him at anything less to us.  Clearly this is a LOT of money, but his residual value as a stallion will allow us to fall back on a guaranteed return.  Should DALI have a big season in 2010, his stud value could easily double, triple, or more based on his already stellar record!  On the downside, even if DALI isn't the breakout star we think he will be, we'll still be able to recoup the majority of our investment on just selling him as a stallion when it does retire.

This is also the perfect time to bring a top horse like DALI back for the older horse stakes!  The horses who have dominated the Free For All ranks for the past few years are all retiring - MISTER BIG, ART OFFICIAL, SHADOW PLAY - all retiring! 

More importantly, there are very few 4 year olds who have shown they can compete and win against the best older horses, and most of the very best in that division tend to be the 5 and 6 year olds.  DALI looks to be poised well to compete with these FFA types as he turns 5 and is getting better with every start as he heads toward the Presidential stakes at The Meadowlands in January.
