JOACHIM
is a yearling son of 2 time Breeders Crown winner ART MAJOR
($2,727,224 1:48.4) out of the winning Matt's Scooter mare
stakes ARMBRO ABSTRACT ($126,600 1:53). ART MAJOR
has become the leading sire in the Empire State and one of few
New York stallions whose offspring are also winning stakes on a
national level, like the Meadowlands Pace, Hoosier Cup, Cane
Pace (Art Official), Governor's Cup, Breeders Crown, Simcoe
(Santanna Blue Chip), Metro Pace, and the Woodrow Wilson (Major
In Art).
There is speed galore on the dam's side of JOACHIM's pedigree,
as his dam is just one of 4 siblings who have won in 1:53 or
faster, and the next generation is also loaded with big money
stakes winners like SHIPPS SCORCH ($755,065), SHIPPS PURSER
($323,120), and ARMBRO INTERCEPT ($285,846).

couldn't be happier to have our first New York bred yearling!
The New York Sire Stakes program is one of the very best in the
world with roughly $15 million is stakes purses! The
program features 8 or 9 stakes legs with purses of over $200,000
each and a $175,000 Final at the end of the year. Just
this year, ART MAJOR had 12 sons and daughters with over $50,000
in stakes earnings.
VIP Stable is sharing ownership of JOACHIM with Aaron Waxman's
Uncirculated stable. Aaron is one of our partners on River
Shark and an outstanding judge of horse flesh, with ownership in
such big time horses as Dali, Just Plug It In, and On The Brink.
The River Shark's trainer, Dave Sabitelli, will also train
JOACHIM. Dave is a great horseman who also trained the
great Four Starzz Shark during his Pacer Of the Year season.
Dave inspected JOACHIM and loved what he saw! The colt is
a tremendously well mannered individual with the composure you
rarely see with yearlings. He carries himself like an
experienced horse and really has the look of a top level horse!

The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 dramatically increased the Section 179
“expensing allowance”, and added a Bonus Depreciation provision
for Yearlings purchases. These combined tax changes may
