Pennsylvania bred yearling pacing filly

VIP Stable went into the Morrisville yearling sale with a 3 for 3 record – three  sales attended and each time we came away with a really well bred and correct looking baby at a great price.  We came out of the sale running our streak to 4 in a row with the purchase of a very impressive looking and well bred filly.

WILDBLISS is a yearling daughter of World Champion, Triple Crown winner, and multiple sub 1:50 sire BLISSFULL HALL ($1,468,646 1:49.2) out of the LAAG mare WILD PROPOSITION.  The 2^nd dam is DOC’s FRITZY, who is a full sister to the WORLD CHAMPION and super sire ALBATROSS.  This filly caught our eye with her impressive looks and really strong physical features.

This Pennsylvania bred lass has the kind of family we always love to see…ire BLISSFULL HALL is a son of Champion CAMBEST (1:46.1) and grandson of “the pacing machine” CAM FELLA, and this entire sire line is well know for fast and durable horses who often get better with age.  BLISSFULL HALL has already produced 6 sub 1:50 pacers – mares MARNIE HALL (1:49), and ARMBRO DANCER (1:49.3), along with colts BLISSED OUT (1:48.4), MARYMATT HANOVER (1:49.4), FOUR STARZ BLING (1:49.4) and CAMELOT HALL (1:49) – who is also out of a LAAG mare just like our new filly!  From just five crops of racing age, BLISSFULL HALL has an amazing record of producing speed with 68% of starters winning in 2:00 or better and an even more impressive 31% with wins in 1:55 or better!  Click here for Blissfull Hall sire info 

The Dam, WILD PROPOSITION, has already produced a 1:56 pacer with over $50K in earnings, and the 2^nd dam - did I mention she was a full sister to ALBATROSS - was a terrific producer with 14 winners and 8 in 2:00 or better, including Meadowlands pacer GREENWICH ($182,783 1:50.4).

We will finalize the training plans for WILDBLISS in the next week, but we do know she will be on the same plan as the rest of our yearlings – we’ll put her in the spot we think will suit her best, and push her toward a stakes schedule that fits the ability she show us this winter and spring.  We’ll also be thinking about possibly renaming this filly…and should have some fun playing off the dam’s name - WILD PROPOSITION!! 

UPDATE - The new name for our filly is I AM WOMAN.  Why?  First, we have a habit of naming our yearlings after songs from the 70's.  More importantly, the name is a salute to partner Tom Jane's unforgettable karaoke performance one night after the Harrisburg auction.  Gotcha Tom!
