Ed
O'Connor is VIP Stable's
founder and the Managing Partner of the stable and
all
it's related partnerships. Ed is a lifelong
harness racing
fan and a CPA currently working in
the TV industry. His
goal in starting VIP Stable back in 1999 was
to give harness racing fans the opportunity
to own part of a quality harness racehorse
without a large financial investment or
risk. |

Long-time VIP
partner Tom Janes
has recently added
the duties of Marketing
VIP Stable. Tom has experience
with several harness racing partnerships and
is also a longtime
harness
owner.
Tom is the primary contact
between
VIP Stable and
our
partners, and
is a regular
in the winner's
circle
with our
horses. |
Trainers
Greg Trotto
- trainer for the VIP Stable
since 1999. Greg is a University of Maryland graduate who has trained harness horses for over 15 years. He currently trains a mid sized stable and races primarily at most east coast tracks from The Meadowlands south to Colonial Downs. He has has had success with a number of open class pacers (PRINCE
LEE CAM 1:51.4, BAYSIDE HALL 1:51.4, EXTON 1:52.0z, CLARK GABLE 1:52.1f, and ABERDASHER 1:52.4f).
Greg also acts as a senor advisor for VIP Stable and our primary
trainer in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

Tom
Fanning - trainer for VIP Stable's New Jersey based
string since 2004. Tom has over 20
years
experience racing at The Meadowlands and Freehold.
Tom has developed several stakes winning colts such as
ARTSTANDING, SPOCK HANOVER,
PACIFIC CLASSIC, and SILKS
N DIAMONDS. Tom is based
at Gaitway Farm near Freehold and maintains a barn of
around 12 horses.
J ohn Butenschoen
- Long time Illinois based
trainer started with a few VIP Stable yearlings in 2005, and now
oversees VIP's midwest horses. John is best know as the conditioner of millionaire Plesac
and is one of the most respected guys anywhere when it comes to
training young horses.
George Teague - Widely considered one of
the very best trainers of young stakes hors es
in the entire sport, George Teague started working with VIP
Stable in the fall of 2006. George has conditioned some of
the best horses of the past few seasons, including Horse of the
Year RAINBOW BLUE, millionaires TOTAL TRUTH, WESTERN ACE, and
SOUTHWIND LYNX and has captured such important stakes at the The
Breeders Crown, Meadowlands Pace, The Hambletonian Oaks,
The Progress Pace, The Cane Pace, The Hoosier Cup, The North
American Cup, The Three Diamonds, The Matron, The Sweetheart,
The Woodrow Wilson, and many many more.

Julie Miller
Brian Allen -
growing
up in a harness family, Brian was a talented high school hockey
player but turned down a
college scholarship to go and train for Ed Lohmeyer. A full
time driver since 1987, Brian was the U.S. Harness Writers
Association Rising Star Award in 1989, and won 6 driving titles
at Vernon Downs in the 1990’s. Brian was a regular in
Maryland, Delaware and Virginia in the early 2000’s before
returning to New York in 2004 to train and drive full time at
Saratoga Raceway. Brian has driven some of the greatest horses
of the last 20 years such as Moni Maker, Magician, Stand
Forever, Howard’s Sister, Sleight Of Pan, Viva Vita, Pan It’s
Cold, Armbro Nest, and Photo Of A Lady.
